The Ford Starliner was a full-size, two-door hardtop coupe produced between 1960 and 1961. It was part of Ford's Galaxie line of vehicles and was designed to compete with Chevrolet's Impala.
The Starliner featured a sleek, aerodynamic roofline and a distinctive wraparound windshield. It was offered with a range of V8 engines, including a 352 cubic-inch (5.8-liter) and a 390 cubic-inch (6.4-liter) unit. Transmission options included a three-speed manual, a four-speed manual, and a three-speed automatic.
In 1961, the Starliner was replaced by the Galaxie Starliner, which featured a revised roofline and a more square-shaped rear window. Overall, the Ford Starliner was a popular car in its day, and is now considered a classic example of 1960s American automotive design.
